Centennial Concert Clothes Closet
We are accepting donations of all dresses, tuxedos, and marching band shoes. For tuxedos, any individual parts are fine too – shirts, bowties, jackets, etc. If you have any to donate, please bring them in to Mr. Ehrlich, and we will have them for use by future students. Thanks!
Foundation for Fine Arts - Membership
There is still time to support the Foundation for Fine Arts! Join at the MAJESTIC level and your membership will include a gold brick to be inscribed with your student's name to hang in the auditorium lobby at Centennial HS. Membership information is available at our website; the link is below. Remember, families must be members of the FFA in order to apply for the FFA scholarship.

Spring Training for the Fall 2019 Marching Band season will be held the last week of April. Please note the dates and times below:
Registration ends April 25, 2019!
Please note the following rehearsals which were not noted in the registration packet: Percussion and Color Guard rehearsals will continue on Mondays for the duration of the Fall marching band season, through Oct 28th.
Leadership: All students interested in a leadership position for the Fall 2019 season are required to attend all sessions of the Leadership Clinic. The dates and times are posted on the band calendar. See the Directors with any questions.
Drum Major: Conducting Training by Ms. Healy were held on March 15, March 22, April 10. Drum Major auditions will be held on April 18.
Camp: will be help during the weeks of July 22nd and July 28th – details to be announced soon.

We've partnered with a local real estate agent who is donating money to the Centennial Band on each home sale/purchase. If you know anyone (within the district, area, or country) who is considering buying/selling a home, please have them email Phillip Maxwell: firstname.lastname@example.org and us. We will get a portion of the sale/purchase donated to the band! Please see Mr. Ehrlich’s email sent on 1/11 (Do you know anyone buying/selling a home?) for more details.
Bed Linen Fundraiser - College Edition!
The bed linen company that we have used for fundraising for several years has a new program for XL Twin size bed sheets for college dorm rooms. Each set costs $40 and the CHS band will receive $10 for each set sold. No forms are required. Simply visit their website below, place your order and the sheets will be delivered directly to you. These sheet sets make great graduation gifts!

CoffeeHouse Fundraiser – Date Changed to May 8th!
Mark your calendars now!! Our first ever CoffeeHouse Fundraiser will be held Wednesday May 8th, 6-8pm. The evening will feature performances by many students and teachers (including our middle school directors!) There will be a $5 admission fee and coffee and desserts will be available for purchase. We will also have a 50-50 drawing and a silent auction. All proceeds will go directly to the CHS band program.
We need items for our silent auction! Ideas include: gift cards to local businesses (restaurants, movies, shopping centers, beauty salons/spas, etc), theme gift baskets, photography sessions, private lessons, autographed sports items, autographed books, etc. Be creative!
Do you own or manage a business that would like to donate? We would love to advertise your business as one of our sponsors!

A big congratulations to the 25 students who performed at the Tri-M Music Honor Society recital in March. 17 students were inducted as first-time members, exemplifying the qualities of service, musicianship, and character. Students that complete all requirements that include volunteering and performance receive a chord for to wear for graduation. Congratulations to these students!

Introducing Robert Dickens,
We are excited to announce that Robert Dickens will join the Centennial Band program as Percussion Director beginning next school year! Mr. Dickens holds the degree of Bachelor of Music Industry from Troy University, and currently resides in Atlanta. He has marched with the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps and is a Snare Drum Technician for the Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps. Welcome to our band, Mr. Dickens!
SAPA Championships at UT-Chattanooga
Our Winterguard team completed their very successful season by competing on March 31st in the Scholastic Regional A - Onyx Division at the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga McKenzie Arena. Congratulations for a great season!
Congratulations also to Olga Diaz, who was awarded a SAPA 19 Scholarship!
Kroger Donation Days – This Week!
Kroger Donation Days are Back! Come out to our local Centennial Kroger this Friday, April 12 from 5-8:00pm and Saturday, April 13 from 10:00am-1:00pm to support the band. Our fantastic drum line will be playing while leadership students collect donations.
Parent volunteers are needed to supervise students and tow the trailer. Please sign up here.

Seniors – Apply for the FFA Scholarship! All applications and supporting documentation (including a Fine Arts teacher’s recommendation) are due by Monday, April 15th, at 4pm. A copy of the application is attached to this newsletter.
