Volunteers! We Need You to End our School Year on a High Note! Dear Band Families, We have two upcoming events in the second week of May that provide your last opportunities in this school year to volunteer! You can click HERE to access both sign-ups. Wednesday, May 8: CoffeeHouse Fundraiser: Our first annual CoffeeHouse is quickly approaching! Great music, coffee, desserts, and conversation! But our first CoffeeHouse event can't be a success without YOU! Volunteers are needed to man the admission table, sell raffle tickets, supervise the silent auction table, set up and clean up our coffee and dessert table, and sell coffee, drinks, desserts and candy. Friday, May 10: Band Banquet Our band year culminates in a banquet, awards presentation, and an after-party for the students. Volunteers are needed to man the check-in table, set up, serve, clean up, and chaperone the students at the after-party in the cafeteria. Not only do we need volunteers at the CoffeeHouse, we need YOU to attend! Our goal is to make this fun event one of our main fundraisers each year. Invite your family, friends & neighbors and share on social media! Help us get the word out! Band Banquet! The band will celebrate the end of the year with dinner, awards presentation and student after-party on Friday, May 10th.

United Sound is a nationwide organization dedicated to sharing the ability to participate in instrumental music with special needs students who don't usually get the opportunity to do so in the traditional setting. These students are taught by peer mentors and in a weekly after school meeting, with the opportunity to perform with the marching band in the fall. We need peer mentors! We need items for our silent auction! Centennial Concert Clothes Closet We are accepting donations of all dresses, tuxedos, and marching band shoes. Tri-M Recital A big congratulations to the 25 students who performed at the Tri-M Music Honor Society recital in March. 17 students were inducted as first-time members, exemplifying the qualities of service, musicianship, and character. Mr. Dickens holds the degree of Bachelor of Music Industry from Troy University, and currently resides in Atlanta. He has marched with the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps and is a Snare Drum Technician for the Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps. Welcome to our band, Mr. Dickens! Another Successful Kroger Donation Days Last weekend, our percussionists and student leaders participated in two days of drumming up money at our Centennial Kroger, raising well over $1000! Thanks to Sarah Reza and Dana Edwards for chaperoning, and to Roger Howrey for towing the trailer both days. Drum line was fantastic! Please continue to patronize Centennial Kroger and thank their management for demonstrating their commitment to the community, Centennial High School and Centennial Band by giving us this opportunity.
