Fundraising CHOCOLATE SALE FUNDRAISER The chocolate sale has been extended! Keep selling chocolate to pay down your band fees for this year and next. All band class, marching band and color/winter guard members are eligible to sell chocolate bars and earn $30 account credit for every box sold. Pick up a box to sell now and over spring break! Winter Guard Schedule of rehearsals and competitions is posted on the calendar tab above. WINTER GUARD COMPETITIONS The Winter Guard performed its show "The Queen" at Exhibition at Alpharetta H.S. on Wednesday, March 28th. Click here to see a video of this excellent performance. Next, the Winter Guard will compete in the SAPA Championships (UTC McKenzie Arena, 720 E 4th St., Chattanooga, TN 37403) on Saturday, April 7th. We highly encourage the Centennial band family to support our talented Winter Guard by cheering them on that day. This competition starts at 9 a.m. The entry cost is $20 cash or $22 credit/debit. Our guard is competing against fourteen other guards in the Scholastic Regional A Division. More details can be found on the SAPA website. So come on out with some good ol' Centennial spirit and pride! Go Knights! Jazz Band Jazz Band rehearsals are on most Tuesdays through May 8th from 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. (See calendar tab above for specific dates.) Mr. Reid is the director with guest jazz artists. Performances:
The participation fee is $80. Please pay by cash or check payable to "CHS Band Boosters" and place in an envelope labeled with student's name and jazz band. Then place the envelope in the drop box outside Mr. Reid's office. This fee will pay for guest artists, music and the jazz festival. Drumming/Chops Sessions The remaining sessions will be held on April 12th, May 3rd, May 10th and May 17th from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the Centennial band room and are for any and all interested in percussion for next marching band season. No percussion experience necessary. Haynes and Holcomb Eighth Graders are very, very welcome!
