CURRENT NEWS MARCHING BAND & COLOR GUARD: What a Road Trip! The directors would really like to thank all the students and parents for their sacrifices to make our trip to Warner Robbins possible. We realize it was a long and exhausting day for everyone, but everyone involved did a great job – especially considering it was our first game! We are looking forward to a wonderful season and we can’t wait to debut our show publicly next Friday at the Fortress. We will get a portion of the sale/purchase donated to the band! Mark your calendar now for our annual Mattress Sale Fundraiser! This year's sale will be Saturday, September 7 in the CHS band room. The band earns on average $100 per mattress sold. Additionally, the referring student earns $25-$50 in their band account. Our fantastic drum line will be playing while leadership students collect donations. Be sure to thank the Kroger management team for their continued support of our band program! FFA (Foundation for the Fine Arts) Concession Stand Volunteers Students and parents can earn $10.00 each by staffing the FFA concession stand from 3:00 to 4:00pm after school. (Parents arrive slightly before 3pm, and students arrive at the stand ASAP after dismissal.). These funds can be used for band fees, trips, Spiritwear and other band costs (no cash value). Sign-ups are now open for Band (including Guard) volunteer shifts for the FFA concession stand in August, November, and March. Please limit your sign ups to one spot per adult and/or one spot per student, per month. (For example, a student may sign up for one shift in August, one in September, and one in March.)
